Here we have a Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/5 (Carl Julius Krebs, Solingen). The ricassoed blade on this one is rough. The acid etched "Blut und Ehre!" motto is only partially visible in the light. The stamped "RZM M7/5" (Carl Julius Krebs, Solingen)maker mark is beautifully executed. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates a VG. It has obviously been sharpned, has nicks to the cutting edge along with heavy age grey, spotting and surface scratches throughout. The original blackened leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The scabbard is steel based and black enamel painted. The finish is lost to time and has been post-war chemically darkened. The blackened scabbard leather is crazed yet remains in good condition. All of its rivets are intact and the button continues to work well! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 92%+ of its plating. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in near perfect shape being tightly secured by two oxidized steel rivets. The HJ diamond is beautiful and retains 99%+ of its enamel! An inexpensive option of a worn one!
