Here we have a third pattern (1940-45) SS (SchutzStaffel) EM Collar Tab (Kragenspiegel). It is constructed out of machine embroidered black and white cotton stitching to a black rayon base that has been folded over and glued to a canvas cotton base. The parallelogram shaped obverse features two centrally placed white SS runes above a black background. The reverse shows a white canvas cotton base to the center with black folded over bordered edges. A few thread catches. It measures approximately 2 inches wide by 1/2 inches tall. A beautiful looking piece!
