Here we have a Distributor marked Long Fireman’s Bayonet. The plated, 9 ¾ inch long, single edged, fullered blade on this one looks beautiful! It retains a nice bright mirror like finish! The “A. Ziegler Giengen a. Brenz” distributor mark is beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates a solid Exc++/NM! It has the slightest bit of spotting and surface scratches throughout. The dual felt buffer pads remain intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard retains 90%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free! It shows scatches throughout. The throat in integral to the scabbard, not often seen and theres no problem with it. The frog lug is numbered. The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt shows typical age wear and retains 90%+ plating coverage. The black bakelite diamond grip plates that are perfectly fit and are secured by two oxidized steel rivets. An excellent piece, available for you today!
