Early SA Dagger by Albert Dorschel

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

A decent early example by Dorschel! The blade on this one is bright. The crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and maker mark are both beautifully executed! There is a fair bit of age grey and spotting but really not bad. It has a perfect fit and perfect tip! The blade rates an Exc/Exc+. The steel based undented, brown anodized scabbard is in great condition! It retains 100% of it's factory brown finish. The solid nickel scabbard fittings are intact with all their screws, the ball is banged in. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and it closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gruppe stamped "Ho"| can't find it? Look way over to the right, it's over there! Why Hochland always stamped their gruppe mark there I do not know but another wee detail in this amazing area of collecting! The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks great. There are pressure marks throughout but no chips, no flakes no cracks. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed! The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A nice piece all around!
