An extremely rare transitional maker mark! A Transitional Model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) by Tiger of Solingen. The blade on this one is great! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and double "Tiger Solingen"/"RZM M7/68" maker mark are beautifully executed!. The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight The blade rates an easy Exc++. It has the odd hit to the cutting edge along with spotting and the common surface scratches / runner marks throughout. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard body looks great! It shows age spidering throughout yet it continues to remain completely dent free and retains 98% paint coverage! The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in excellent condition, retaining 98%+ plating coverage. The ball retains a perfectly round shape and all four screws remain tightly secured! The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. It looks like the lower has been cleaned as the finish is mostly worn off. The top guard has the odd scratch. The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! The odd pressure mark but no flakes, chips or cracks. The solid aluminum eagle is beautifully detailed with a nice fit. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and has a perfect fit! Always nice to see the rarer transitional examples!
