Here’s a fine looking example out of an old collection. The blade on this one has age and some old fingerprint stains but still is mostly bright with decent crossgrain. The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “Gebr. Grafrath Solingen” maker mark are nicely executed. The blade rates an Exc+. The brown anodized scabbard has some small hits to the body, I’ve showed the worse of it. The anodizing looks excellent! The solid nickel scabbard fittings are intact. It continues to retain all four screws. The ball has a small hit and the lower screws are a bit buggered up. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “Wm”. The crossguards and scabbard fittings match in color and wear! The multi-toned brown hardwood grip looks good! It shows the common pressure marks, the most notable being to the lower obverse. No cracks, flakes or splits! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel! A good piece for you to enjoy in your collection!
