Direct from the Vet's family to you! A gorgeous early slant grip, jet black patina, tapered tang Model 1935 Army Dagger (Heer Dolch) with the 1st variant Puma Solingen maker mark! Puma did not manufacture their own parts but purchased them from other manufacturers. All of the parts are early WKC and this is correct for this early puma maker mark. A text book example exactly as it should be! The blade on this one is stunning! The dark and crisp acid etched "Puma Solingen" maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is stunning and runs all of the way from the hilt to tip. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates a solid NM/Mint-. It shows the common runner marks. The brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based and nickel-silver plated scabbard is in excellent condition. It shows a wee bit of rust to the obverse yet has beautifully patinaed and remains completely dent free! It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and hand enhanced oak leaves and acorns. The original double throat retaining screws remains tightly intact. The nickel-silver plated crossguard provides crisp details throughout the hand enhancing, head, wings, wreath and chest! The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with the proudly displayed oak leaves and acorns! There is only minor oxidization in the crevasses of the pommel. The warm orange trylon slant grip is just beautiful! Minor spots but no cracks or chips! Very early, beautiful jet black matching patina and an overall minty piece just for you!
