The bright blade on this one is in fine condition with some traces of age grey. It sports a double maker marked blade that is correctly stamped with the eagle C&J Name and shield logo. The blade rates Exc++ The undented scabbard has bands with the correct chased line approximately 5mm in from the front scabbard fitting edges. The plated steel fittings are all secured with unturned headless screws. The throat is integral to the upper fitting as we see on 95% of these. The leather on the scabbard has excellent coverage and remains in beautiful condition! There are a few very small marks that reveal this was worn and 100% of the leather coverage is intact. You rarely find original leather in great shape, so this one's pretty darn good. This dagger also employs the textbook aluminum hilt fittings with upswept enhanced Customs eagle wings. When I got this the swastika was broke off so I have the swastika professionally replaced. You would not know but I always share any work done. The unique Customs pommel with acanthus leaves is matching in tone and patina. The leathered grip is in awesome shape and correctly wire wrapped with double twist wire. The unique Customs ferule again has the correct leaf pattern. A nice addition!
