A quality and minty Model 1938 TENO (Technische Nothilfe) EM/NCO Dagger by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen! The matte finished blade on this one looks awesome! The dark acid etched “Original Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark and proud TENO “Ges. Gesch” eagle, just above it, show sharp and crisp detail and are truly striking! Opposite to the maker mark, under the guard, it is etched: “5713”, which matches the scabbard throat perfectly! The tip and fit are both perfect! The blade rates an easy NM. It shows the slightest spotting, minor runner rest marks and the typical surface scratches, but that’s it. The original black leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard body looks awesome as well! It remains completely dent free and retains 99%+ of its original glossy paint coverage! The steel based nickel-silver plated fittings also look excellent! There on one wee area of bubbling but that’s it. All four screws remain intact and unturned. The alloy based, plated hilt looks wonderful! The burnishing to the eagle and cog wheel really makes the details pop right out at you! It continues to retain 99%+ of its plating coverage! The thick celluloid grip plates remain completely crack and chip free! They are well fit and tightly secured with two unturned screws. Finally included is a nice Assmann marked hanger and a RARE TENO Portepee. The hanger shows minor crazing and has a hole in the top. Its hilt strap is in wonderful condition, which is extremely hard to find! The knot is in wonderful condition and is very rare! Beauty blade, scabbard, hilt and complete with a rig… What more could you ask for?!?
