The blade on this one is pretty clean. The entire acid etched "In herzlicher kameradschaft Ernst R?hm" inscription has been removed in what was a backyard job, it was not returned to the factory. When it was ground they also hit a portion of the "E.P.&S. Solingen" mark. The "Alles für Deutschland" motto is still nicely executed. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc/Exc+. It has age grey/spotting. The steel based, RZM era scabbard is a replacement that has been added at some point. It shows minor wear and a bump to the lower fitting. All four screws continue to remain intact. The scabbard to crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look great! The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped "Th". The brown grained hardwood grip is in good shape remaining chip and crack-free with the odd pressure mark throughout. The solid nickel eagle shows wear and a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 100% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! This comes with a replacement hanger strap that again was added along the way, look at it and you can tell it's been there for a very long time.
