A gorgeous Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Richard Plümacher Sohn of Solingen. The ricassoed mottoed blade on this one looks excellent! The “RZM M7/83 !” (Richard Plümacher Sohn, Solingen) maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible shining wonderfully from hilt to tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates an easy Exc++/NM! It shows the common age grey and runner marks. The original blackened leather buffer pad is perfect. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks wonderful! It retains 98%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The folded black leather strap is in wonderful condition. The slightest crazing around the snap. It retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work very well! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 96%+ of its plated finish. Typical wear from the snap and reverse rivet. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in near perfect shape and are secured by two steel rivets. The HJ diamond is gorgeous, retaining its silver wash underneath the lacquer coating. It retains 99%+ of its enamel! A beautiful piece by a rare maker!
