4th Panzer Division Propoyka Medallion 1941

Here we have a Commemorative medallion for the 3rd Company of the 7th Tank Reconnaissance Battalion of the 4th Panzer Division of the Wehrmacht for capturing bridges in Propoyka on July 14, 1941. It is constructed out a die stamped zinc alloy base that has been silver plated and burnished. The obverse features the bust of a German soldier in a helmet surrounded by "3. Pz. Aufklarungsabtlg. 7 - 4.Panzerdiv.". The reverse depicts a 1st class Iron Cross flanked by laurel leaves, below "Propoiszk" and above "14.7.1941" along with a tiny maker mark reading: "Deschler-München". A lot of bubbling to the plating. Some has come off to the obverse. It measures approximately 2 inches wide. Very unique!
