Here we have a Waffen SS (SchutzStaffel) Officer Collar Tab (Kragenspiegel). It is constructed out of hand embroidered silver bullion over cardboard based runes to a black wool covered with glue and stitching to a buckram base with a twisted silver bullion border. The parallelogram shaped obverse features two centrally placed silver SS runes above a black background and is bordered in twisted silver bullion. The reverse shows the buckrahm base to the center which is surrounded in the black wool covering and bordered in twisted silver bullion. It measures approximately 2 3/16 inches wide by 1 5/8 inches tall. Nice!
