Here we have a Alsace NSDAP Supporter Pin. These were worn by ethnic Germans (Volksdeutsche) living in Alsace-Lorraine region (France) with NSDAP allegiance. It is constructed out of a die struck, zinc-alloy base. The round shaped obverse depicts a swastika that is encircled by: "Opferring Elsass" (Sacrificial Ring Alsace). The full back reverse is maker marked: "R. Hauschild Pforzheim" and has crimped on steel well working pin. It is unfinished as most of these are. There is zinc pest throughout. It measures approximately 1 inch in diameter. Rough and rare.
