Here's a good looking RZM piece with a nice clear motto! The blade on this one looks good. The crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto is beautifully executed as is the "RZM M7/12" maker mark. There is some age from old fingerprints and the crossgrain is stunning as it shines against the light, all the way from the hilt to tip! The tip is perfect and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates Exc+. The steel based, brown enamel painted scabbard has 98% of its original paint still intact. There is some age crazing, oxidation and two tiny marks to the lower obverse scabbard body you will find if you hold this just so in the sun. The steel based nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings look wonderful with 99% plating still intact! The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws remain intact. The scabbard/crossguard fit is near perfect! The alloy based, nickel-silver plated crossguards are in decent shape. They show the common plating loss next to the wood with 99% coverage. The light brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It has no chips or cracks. The aluminum eagle is a bit worn yet still shows nice detail. The SA roundel retains 100% of its enamel and has a perfect fit! The hanger has homemade period replaced leather. A good looking piece direct from the Vet's family.
