WHW Ancient Germanic Shield Tinnie

Here we have an Ancient Germanic Shield Tinnie issued by the national WHW (Winterhilfswerk) on 25 - 26 October 1941. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc base that has been silver washed and lacquered. The oval shaped obverse shows an ancient Germanic shield with a crimped/soldered on green glass gem stone to the center. The full back reverse reads: “Swebisch 1. JAHRH.V.D.ZTR” (1st Century BCE Stone age German). and has a crimped on steel well working pin. It measures approximately 15/16 of an inch wide by 1 3/16 inches tall. Collect the whole series!
