Here we have an issue case for a LDO private purchase screwback 1st Class Iron Cross by L/52 (Fritz Zimmermann, Stuttgart). It is constructed out of a wood and pressed cardboard base that is covered in a simulated grained black leather. To the front is a magnetic, round spring loaded, steel closure button. To the back is a magnetic, staggered, internal bar hinge. The interior top lid is lined in white satin and is marked, in gold "LDO" within an oval and rectangle border along with, in red "L/52" within a rectangular boarder. The bottom interior of the case is constructed out of a pressed cardboard base that is covered in a black rayon material that outlines the screw plate and anti-rotation pin and is bordered in a thin white cardboard. To the bottom is a white and blue price tag. The very top has two larger scuffs along with a few others throughout. The case measures approximately 2 5/8 inches tall and deep and ¾ of an inch thick. The right piece for the guy who needs it!
