Here we have a Turkish Case for a Screwback Gallipoli Star! It is constructed out of a wood and pressed cardboard base that is covered in a simulated grained black leather. To the very top is a pressed gilded lined criss-cross design. To the front is a gilded steel, round spring loaded closure button. To the back is a glued on black buckram cloth hinge. The interior top lid is lined in white satin and has an underlying pad. The bottom interior of the case is constructed out of a cardboard base that is covered in a black fibrous felt material that outlines the screw plate and is bordered in a thin white cardboard. The hole for the screwback plate measures 1 11/16 of an inch in diameter. It shows ageing along with the odd scuff throughout. The case measures approximately 2 5/8 inches tall and deep and ¾ of an inch thick. A neat one!
