A nicely patinaed example from the Vet's family by a rare maker! The double fullered plain blade on this one looks good. It hold a nice bright finish with some age spotting. it is correctly marked with the 2nd Luneschloss logo used in the period. The tip is perfect and fit is nice and tight. The blade rates a solid Exc+. The scabbard to hilt fit is good. The brass based lightning bolt scabbard looks good with jus a coupls small bumps, hard to picture but you can find them with your fingers. It provides wonderful detail throughout the oak leaf bands and decorative motif. It has two throat screws. The crossguard and pommel provide wonderful detail. The release button continues to work well. The orange trylon grip looks great. It has a chip to the lower crossguard fit that I covered up with an original portepee that is correctly tied and in wonderful condition. It has the double twisted wire wrap, that remains nice and tight. I love the untouched patina in this!
