Here we have a Navy Administrative Career Sleeve Insignia (Verwaltungsmaat Laufbahnabzeichen). This would be worn on the upper left sleeve of the uniform. The base color of the insignia was to match the color of the uniform it was worn on. It is constructed out of a navy blue wool base with yellow machine embroidered rayon thread and has a glued on protective paper lacquered backing. The oval shaped obverse features a yellow fouled anchor behind a caduceus. It measures approximately 2 5/8 inches wide by 3 3/8 inches tall. A nice one!
