German WWII > Belt Buckles > SA / NSKK >
Here we have an example of a SA belt buckle! The rectangular shaped buckle is constructed out a die struck/stamped brass base with a separately applied roundel. The obverse roundel depicts a an open winged SA eagle griping a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons on a oak-leaf wreath in front of a decorative line type pattern which is encircled by two twisted ropes. The separately applied roundel lies on a rectangular smooth background. The reverse shows two solder marks, brass prongs and an integral catch. Unusual to have both, when the prong assembly was added I do not know but regardless the buckle is original. It shows light age wear. It measures approximately 2 ½ inch wide by 2 inches high. The buckle continues to retain beautiful detail! A good example!
