Here's a quality, early, personalized Model 1934 RAD EM Subordinate Hewer (Reichsarbeitsdiens Haumesser für Mannschaften und Unterführer) by Boker of Solingen. The blade on this one is in good condition! The acid etched "Arbeit adelt" motto and RADJ /Ges. Gesch. / Boker maker marks are nicely executed! The fit and tip are both perfect! It rates an easy Exc/Exc+. The blade has some age grey and has been cleaned, lightning the etch somewhat. The black painted enamel scabbard is in good condition as well! The scabbard body retains 93% of its black enamel paint and remains completely dent free! It shows age crazing throughout. The black burnished, nickel plated fittings provide wonderful detail, throughout the RAD logo's and decorative top patterns! All four screws remain intact and unturned. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect! The solid nickel hilt is in excellent condition, matching the hilt in color and wear. To the obverse, just above the crossguard, we see a Jeweller engraved "FS". Makes for a great display! The horn grip has beautifully aged, providing wonderful contrasting yellow/brown colors that only time can create. There are no cracks of chips and they remain tightly secured. A hefty, great looking piece!
