A beautiful example of a Veteran purchased Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by G. Filix of Solingen. The blade on this one is beautiful! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and manufacturer's mark are both beautifully executed! The full crossgrain shines wonderfully in the light! The fit is nice and tight and tip comes to a perfect point! You can't ask for much more! The blade rates a solid Mint-. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard is in beautiful condition! It retains 95%+ of its original lacquered finish. It remains completely dent free. The solid nickel silver scabbard fittings look wonderful. The ball remains round but has suffered a wee kiss to the very bottom. All four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards match the scabbard fittings quite well. The reverse of the lower crossguard is District stamped "Wm". The red hardwood grip looks excellent! It is chip and crack-free. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 98%+ of its enamel. So this thing has been there, it has normal period wear meaning wee marks, hits and dirt. The whole thing has matching patina and could use a cleaning. It's never been apart.
