1st Class KVK w/o swords by L/11

Here we have a zinc private purchase 1st Class War Merit Cross by Wilhelm Deumer, Ludenscheid. The award is constructed out of a die struck zinc base that has been silver washed, less than 50% of the wash remains. The obverse depicts a pebbled Maltese style cross with a swas center. The reverse shows a full back, a soldered on block hinge, soldered catch and coke bottle pin. They are all in well working condition! It is maker marked "L/11" (Wilhelm Deumer, Ludenscheid).
