Here we have an Early Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by CAM of Solingen. The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto is light and the “CAM Solingen” maker mark and “Ges. Geschützt” patent are beautifully executed! The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates a solid Exc++. It shows surface scratches and age grey/spotting throughout. The brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks excellent. It remains completely dent free and holds 85%+ of its original paint coverage. The brown scabbard leather is in excellent condition. All of its rivets are intact and the snap continues to work well. It is marked: “LFS”. The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 97%+ of its plating. Typical wear where the snap/rivets are. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in perfect condition and are tightly secured to the hilt with two solid nickel-silver rivets. The small HJ diamond retains 99%+ of its enamel. A nice piece with some great features!
