Here we have a 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Holler. The plated blade on this one looks good. The etches Holler thermometer in double oval maker mark is crisp and beautifully executed! It has a nice plated mirror like finish to it along with a good fit and perfect tip! Ok, so I just looked at this and the tang is stripped, someone put some Teflon tape to tighten it up and you would never know unless you took this apart but I wanted you to know. Leave it alone and it will be fine. The blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It shows minor wear and age throughout. The blue pebbled leather buffer pad remains intact. The original steel based, blue pebbled leather scabbard body remains in wonderful condition! It has 99%+ leather coverage and a perfect seam. The steel based, nickel silver plated fittings look great as well! They show some plating loss but no dents. All five screws remain intact. The aluminum chain has 9 lower and 7 upper ringlets that ends at a well working "Ges. Gesch." and "OLC" marked clip. The zinc alloy, nickel-silver plated hilt fittings look good. They retain 95% plating coverage. Only remnants of the gilding remains to the four sun wheel swastikas. The grip leather remains is in good shape with all the leather intact and just some wear to the high areas. The aluminum triple wire wrap continues to remain intact and one is a bit loose. A fine example.
