Justice Official's Degan

This is an interesting example of a rare sword. It employs a straight double fullered Imperial era type degan blade and scabbard. Why? I do not know but this is the 2nd example I've seen like this. Perhaps an early example but definitely factory done. I say that because the tang finishing at the top is perfect and untampered with. The plated blade on this one looks great! It holds a nice mirror like finish and the tip and fit are both perfect! I say that and there is a single "hit" to the cutting edge I clearly show. The hilt is cast aluminum with minor hits and evidence of wear. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks great. It shows minor age spidering throughout yet retains 85% of its original paint! It continues to have both throat retaining screws and remains completely dent free! The scabbard to hilt fit is perfect. I absolutely love the design on these! Just look at the pommel eagle head with the guard coming out of its mouth! Sweet! The crossguard eagles are just superb too! The grip is made of aluminum base that has been black painted. About 95% paint coverage remains. The triple brass wire wrap is snugly fit. Nicely finishing this is a Justice Official troddle which is extremely rare. Truly a great sword whose owner wielded the power over life and death in the Reich!
