German WWII > Belt Buckles > SA / NSKK >
Here we have a 2nd Pattern NSKK EM/NCO Belt and Buckle that was introduced in 1935. (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Koppelschloß). The buckle is constructed out of a die stamped steel base that has been silver plated. The obverse roundel depicts an open winged NSKK/SA eagle griping a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons on a smooth round backing. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the bottom and is all in front of a decorative line type pattern which is encircled by two twisted ropes. The roundel lies on a smooth rectangular background. The reverse shows a round wire catch and steel plated pongs and post/sleeve. The obverse plating is gorgeous! The buckle measures approximately 2 ½ inches wide by 1 7/8 inches high. Attached to the buckle is a 1st pattern 44 1/4 inch black leather belt. It features a peened on plated steel hook to the one end and to the other interior end is a stitched on 16 hole punched tongue. The leather shows some age cracking to the stress points. It remains in excellent condition. A great set!
