Weimar - I. Stufe Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern. Awarded to Freikorps Oberlandmembers for service against the Silesian Uprisings. It is a multi-piece die struck construction made out of a tombak base that has been silver washed and black painted. The obverse features a black closed winged eagle with a silvered crescent and cross, an oak leaf wreath with crossed broad swords and a bannered “Für Schlesien” all on its chest. The full back reverse shows four tombak prongs and the appropriate pin, hinge and catch assembly. It measures approximately 1 1/8 inches wide by 1 ¾ inches tall. A nice one!
