Award Document for the 2nd Class Olympic Medal

A Verleihungsurkunde für 2. Klasse Deutsche Olympia-Ehrenzeichen. The 2nd Class German Olympic award document and medal was bestowed for special merits in the executive organization activity. It is constructed out of an A4 format thick paper that was preprinted with black and red ink and hand written with the awardee and date. The obverse reads: “In Anerkennung seiner Verdienste um die Deutschland übertragenen Olympischen Spiele 1936 verleihe ich dem Generalsekretär Adolf Krogmann das Deutsche Olympia-Ehrenzeichen zweiter Klasse. Berlin, den 23. Februar 1937 Der führer und Reichschanzler”. It is stamped with the embossed German Wreathed National Eagle to the lower left hand corner and Adolf Hitler’s facsimile, to the right. It was awarded to Secretary-General Adolf Krogmann. It measures approximately 8 1/4 inches wide by 11 3/4 inches tall. Minty condition. Previously sold by H. Weitze. A rare document to fine!
