A Cased Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP 2. Stufe in Sibler. The II Stage NSDAP Long Service in Silver, was instituted April 2nd 1939, and was awarded after 15 years of long-standing and faithful work in the service of the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a nickel-silver base that has been silver washed and contains blue translucent enamel work and is finished in a protective lacquered coating. The obverse features a silver eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons in front of an oak leaf wreathe that is tied together at the bottom in front of a blue pattée style cross that is surrounded by a silver ribbed/beaded row and a flat outlying border, that has sun ray emanating out of the corners. The reverse reads: “Treue für Führer und Volk” (Loyalty for the Leader and the People), to the center and is surrounded by that same wreath, cross and rays. To the top is an integral loop and ring. Accompanying the ring is 5 inches of the appropriate blue and silver rayon/flatwire ribbon. The award and ribbon are housed in its original issue case. The case is constructed out of a pressed cardboard base that is covered in s simulated blue grained leather. The obverse top features a German national eagle in gold. The interior has a yellow felt base. The very bottom of the case is RZM marked. The bottom one corner is ripped. The edges show wear. It measures approximately 2 1/8 inches wide by 3 5/8 inches deep by 11/16 of an inch thick. A great assembly! Comes with a COA from Klaus Butschek.
