Tough to find these early ones. The oval badge is a hollow back, die struck and silver washed steel example. The obverse depicts a rifle and bayonet below a Heer closed winged eagle clutching a swastika within its talons and is surrounded by an acorn and oak leaf wreath. The reverse of the badge is hollow with soldered hardware. It has the correct, stamped hinge and round wire pin! They all remain in well working condition. The entire thing is magnetic. The details are always nicely retained on these steel based examples For those of you checking me against the references check out p.30 of "The IAB" by Weber.
