Here we have a mid-period, die struck, zinc based, silver washed wound badge. The oval badge depicts an embossed profile of a swastika, above an M35 pattern helmet, which is again above two crossed broad swords. This then lies on a pebbled field and is surrounded by a laurel leaf pattern. The pin, hinge and catch are all intact and in well-working condition. The pin is marked "14". The silver wash is faded but remains at say 70%. The badge measures 1.75 inches high by 1.5 inches wide. Overall this piece is a nice example!
