Ukunde zum Deutsches Ärmelband Afrika. The Afrika Cuff title, introduced on January 15th 1943, was a campaign award for a minimum of six months served in the African Campaign. Personnel who had been wounded, contracted a tropical illness, or had won a military award, regardless of the time served in the African theatre were also entitled the award. The award document would accompany the cuff title. It is constructed out of a 5 5/8 inches wide by 7 ¾ inches tall paper that was preprinted with yellow and black ink and typewriter written with the awardee’s rank and name, hand signed and purple stamped. The obverse reads: “Belitzurfunde Ich verleihe dem Unteroffizier Hans Nachreiner das Ärmelband Afrika Hauptquartier des O.B.S., den 1.5.1943 Der Oberbefehlshaber Süs Keßelring Generalfeldmarschall F. d. R.: Major.”. One fold through the center. Excellent condition!
