Unissued Justizbeamte Schirmmütze by Carl Isken of Köln. It is constructed out of the forest green wool, with a black velvet center band and red piping. Attached to the obverse is a die stamped, aluminum based, silver washed cap eagle and a multi piece cockade. To the sides are two peened on multi piece tombak based gold gilded pebbled side buttons that hold the thin green/bullion interwoven chin cord in place. The front also features a black lacquered visor peak with a cross hatched cream underside. The interior has a tan leather sweatband with vent holes to the forehead and a peened on button that holds a “57 cm” size tag to the back. The interior has a stitched on gold silk lining underneath a diamond moisture shield with the manufactures mark, in silver: “Carl Isken Uniform - Mützen – Fabrik Köln Rinkenpfuhl 20-20” The base of the lining is size stamped “59 1/2”. It has minor mothing to the piping. Unissued!
