Imperial Italian Air Force Officers Dress Sword

Rare sword features a brass hilt with polished black wooden gilt wire bound grip with a crowned eagles head pommel. The guard is in the form of a deeply feathered wing and it has a folding guard. The scabbard leather is old and dry but intact. It looks to me that the leather was "extended" an inch or so at the top fitting, this is a common fix as these scabbards want to shrink. The scabbard retention clip is working fine. Etched blade has age, spotting and roughness to the edges.
