A fine example by Ernst Bruckmann! The blade on this one looks excellent . The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Ernst Bruckmann Solingen - Ohligs Mann" maker mark are darkly executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfectly sharp point. The crossgrain looks wonderful as well visible from hilt to tip! The blade rates a solid NM. It shows the common age spotting and surface scratches throughout. The brown anodized scabbard looks excellent with even color and no oxidation. The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards are in near perfect condition and match the crossguards in patina, color and wear. The ball has one wee bruise yet it continues to retain its original round shape. All four screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect! The reverse of the lower left crossguard is Gau stamped "HO" (Hochland). The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks excellent. There are a few pressure marks and age toning yet no crack, chips or flakes. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Included is a worn hanger. A nice piece that will make a great addition to your collection!
