The bright blade on this one looks great! The dark and crisp acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “SMF Solingen” maker mark are both beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates NM. It shows a few dots of age and common runner marks but that's it. The brown anodized scabbard looks good. It shows some areas of surface oxidation. It remains completely dent free and holds a nice brown finish to it! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great and have nicely patinaed with age. They match the crossguards in color, patina and condition. The ball has a small hitto the very bottom but retains it's original shape. All four screws remain tightly intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked, “Ns”. The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It shows the common pressure marks throughout. There are no cracks, flakes or damage. The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A fine example of an early SA Dagger!
