A recent Veteran family pic-up. The blade on this one looks good, it has some age the worse of which is to the reverse but all crossgrain remains. The crisp acid etched WKC knights head maker mark is beautifully executed! The fit is nice and tight. The blade rates an Exc+. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The early steel based scabbard is dent free and sports nicely hand enhanced scabbard bands. There's a bit of oxidizing I've not tried to clean. Textbook WKC single screw scabbard. The unique zinc based, plated WKC "Tomahawk" style crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The warm orange trylon grip one tone darker to the obverse on this one looks great! A few minor spots but that's it! No chips, cracks or splits! A nicely aged example!
