A Model 1937 Hitlerjugend Dolch für Führer by RZM M7/36 - E. & F. Hörster & Co. of Solingen. The plated blade on this one looks great! The “Blut Und Ehre!” motto and “RZM M7/36” (E & F. Hörster & Co, Solingen) maker mark are both nicely executed.The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The platting gives the blade a beautiful mirror like finish! The blade rates Exc++. It shows age grey and spotting throughout. The original leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, blue leather covered scabbard is in great shape as well. It retain 95%+ leather coverage with just the odd scuff throughout and one 3/8 of an inch spot loss to the seam. The fittings are all steel based, nickel-silver washed and burnished. They continue to hold some of their original factory lacquer to the crevasse. The fittings display beautiful detail with a decorative rope pattern on each and the elegant Hitler Youth eagle. The aluminum based upswept crossguard nicely displays the rope pattern and burnished backgrounds. The grip is wood based and covered in a twisted wire wrap which is tightly secured with the two headless screws (one shows some tightening). The steel pommel cap has the rope pattern as well along with the correct HJ emblem to the top. If you've been waiting for one of these look no further this one is for you!
