A private purchased Luftwaffe Oberfeldwebel Fliegertruppe NCO Dienstbluse. It is constructed out of a multi-piece blue-gray wool material with a dark blue silk-rayon inseam. The tunic has four scalloped pleated pockets with silvered aluminum/steel multi-piece pebbled buttoned (“S&L” marked) flaps. The cuffs are the traditional French style. The placket has four silvered aluminum/steel multi-piece pebbled (“S&L” marked) buttons. There are four award loops to the left breast pockets, with two holes just above it for a medal bar along with two below the right pocket. There is hand stitched on 2nd Class Iron Cross ribbon to the top button hole. The hand stitched on Fliegertruppe Oberfeldwebel rank collar tabs are constructed out of a buckram base that is covered in a yellow wool, with four pined on Luftwaffe ‘gulls’. The Oberfeldwebel rank shoulder boards are the sew-on type. They are constructed out of a blue grey wool base that two silvered rank pips and an exterior silver aluminum wire tress and yellow piping, held on with a “Extra Fine A” marked silvered aluminum/steel multi-piece pebbled button. The collar has an exterior bordered silver aluminum wire tress and twisted yellow cotton piping. The Luftwaffe 1st pattern breast eagle is constructed out of machine embroidered white cotton stitching to a blue grey wool base. The interior is lined in dark silk-rayon with separate grey and white cotton lined arms. There is a tag marked: “Tuch Koch Greifswald” just below the hang loop (broken off). There is one interior left breast pocket that has a “Tuch Koch Greifswald” marked tag which is also named, “813” numbered and “15.8.36” dated. The tunic is approximately a size small-medium. A nice early tunic!
