A Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/8 - Eduard Gembruch of Solingen-Grafrath. The blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto and the stamped “RZM M7/8” maker mark are both beautifully executed! The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates a solid Exc++/NM. It shows the typical runner marks and minor age grey/spotting throughout. The buffer pad is in excellent condition. The scabbard is steel based and black anodized. It shows two wee pressure marks to the obverse and the reverse shows spidering. It retain 98% of its original painted finish and remains completely dent free. The black scabbard leather is in good condition. The vertical portion shows crazing. All of its rivets are intact and the snap continues to work well. The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 97% of its plating. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in perfect condition and are tightly secured to the hilt with two solid nickel-silver rivets. The small HJ diamond retains 99% of its enamel. A great piece you are sure to be happy with!
