Direct from the Vet's family. The blade on this one is nice but there are hits to the cutting edges like some kids played "swords" with this. Kids do such things. It has a dark and beautifully executed "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and RZM M 7/27 Pumawerk (Lauterjung & Sohn), Solingen maker mark! The crossgrain is striking running the full length of the blade and the tip comes to a perfect point! There is some minor age. The brown factory painted scabbard is in good condition! It has 99.9% paint intact and remains completely dent-free. The plated scabbard fittings show light wear but bright matching the crossguards in color. The ball retains it's original shape. with a wee flat to one side where it was bumped. All of the screws remain intact and unturned! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards look good with a bit of age. The grip / crossguard fits are great. The brown hardwood grip is in great condition. It has some pressure marks and scuffs but no chips, cracks or scrapes. The aluminum eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 100% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit. If you can forgive the blade hits this is a nice piece for your collection!
