A 1941 Pattern - Wasserschutzpolizei (Water Protection, Harbor and Traffic Control) Ärmelhoheitsabzeichen. It is constructed out of machine embroidered blue/yellow cotton thread, on a dark-blue rayon base. The obverse depicts a 2nd pattern police eagle, with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons which is surrounded by another oak leaf and acorn wreath. It measure approximately 4 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches tall. A rare piece!
