A DSVB (Deutscher Standschützenverband) “KK-Gewehr” Shooting Award 1943 by Carl Poellath of Schrobenhausen. It is constructed out of a die struck steel base that has been gold gilded and contain red, green, black and white enamel work. The round shaped obverse features a red Tyrolean style eagle clutching a target that has a gold mobile swastika on it, and is flanked by two green oak leaves at the neck and “1943”, above an arched “KK-Gewehr” (Kleinkaliberwaffen Gewehr). The concave reverse shows a horizontally soldered on round plate that is marked “C. Poellath Schrobenhausen” and holds a well working tombak pin assembly. The enamel work is in beautiful condition and the gilding remains nice and bright! It measures 1 9/16 inches in diameter. Collect all the variations!
