Nice clean war-time 1st pattern pith helmet correctly formed from a cork core with a ribbed twill cotton covering. There are two early tombac based painted shields intact and pinned to each side. The inside liner is made of vented red cotton. The liner is in nice shape with intact stitching. It is size stamped 59 and well marked. Unlike so many this is in good shape and correctly shaped. The chin strap is intact. This one was there and will make for a very cool display!
