A very rare Forestry Service Officials Tirolerhut. It is constructed out of green doe skin wool with a forest green wool center-band and edge. The front center features a die stamped silvered aluminum-alloy forestry eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons. The left edge is turned up and underneath it is a folded edge behind a deer tail brush and cockade. Both sides have three decorative flower designed vent holes. There is minor moth holes throughout. The interior has a stitched on black sweat band that is tied to the back with a bow tie. The interior front to back is 8 inches long. A very rare and unique piece!
