The blade on this one has evidence of cleaning. The crossgrain is mostly gone and the etch is lightened. There is some pitting right at the crossguard. The fit is nice and tight, the tip looks good and the acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and maker mark are both nicely executed! The blade rates Exc. The early anodized scabbard is dent-free with nice finish. The lower fitting is magnetic meaning that at some point it replaced the original nickel one. The ball is undented. The screws are all intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is nice. The solid nickel crossguards have nice patina and show period wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Wm". The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks good. There are no chips or cracks. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is perfect, it also has a perfect fit! Included is an early long snout hanger. A price you cant beat.
