A matching and desirable variation for collectors! The blade on this one looks good! The sideways "AWS Alcoso Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed! There is some crossgrain remaining. and there is some smudges and some gray. The tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates an easy Exc+. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard is in excellent condition! It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and oak leaves and acorn bands. It has wonderful fit black patina and remains completely dent free! The single throat retaining screw remains intact and unturned. The unique high-lift Alcoso specific eagle crossguard also provides crisp details throughout the head, wings, wreath and chest! The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns! The trylon grip is in excellent condition and a real trat as 905+ of these were issued with the later less desirable plaster based grips! The whole piece has patinaed with age. An excellent looking Army Dagger!
