Ok so if you are into RK winners but want a piece with rock solid authenticity look no further. This one want not only published in Witty's reference but it's the 1st featured piece in Chapter 7 with a 2 page spread. An early nickel-silver example by Eickhorn! The plated blade on this one looks great! The crisp maker mark is perfectly executed! It has a wonderful plated mirror like finish! It has a tight fit and the tip is perfect! The blade rates NM. It shows the common runner marks. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based blue pebbled leather scabbard body remains in good condition! It continues to hold nice color and 85%+ coverage. The leather is missing from the inside edge, where the rings are. The early nickel-silver scabbard fittings look good but the gilt is worn from the swas's. The obverse of the top fitting is personalized "Geshwader Boelcke" in a squadron shield. It has been darkened. A nice job! The the reverse the name, "Hptm. Petersen" All five screws remain intact! The early nickel-silver chain has 14 lower and 12 upper ringlets that ends at a solid nickle clip! The nickel-silver hilt fittings look excellent, matching the scabbard fittings quite nicely! The grip leather remains in excellent condition as well! The triple wire wrap continues to remain tightly intact! Included here is much documentation, some records and a signed photo.
